MagicDraw UML uses a mechanism called "secondary stereotypes" (a.k.a. translucent stereotypes).

In the absence of an instance-level stereotype the classifier-level stereotype "shows through" the part.

As soon as one introduces an instance-level stereotype the classifier-level stereotype is screened out.
