HOWTO create an ItemFlow on a Connector in an IBD

In MD SysML you can create an ItemFlow by:

  • dragging a Property from the browser onto a Connector in an internal block diagram (the Property should belong to the same context Block as the Connector)
  • dragging a Property's symbol in an internal block diagram onto a Connector in the same diagram

An ItemFlow with that Property as the 'itemProperty' of the ItemFlow will be created. A dialog will popup with sensible faults and you can choose the flow direction.

You can also drag a Block from the Browser onto a Connector to create and ItemFlow without an 'itemProperty'.

TIP: It is much easier to use Drag n' drop than the
InformationFlow menu buttons
in the diagram menubar.
